Robert Allen’s “Shadow Walk” is the type of song you’d expect to hear in a Sons of Anarchy scene or a western, the perfect backdrop to bikers or cowboys riding out and kicking ass.

And that bad-ass, movie-esque feel is no coincidence – Robert Allen, aka DownTown Mystic, is an iconoclast with over 230 TV shows and film placements under his belt.  His now nine LP catalog includes performances by Max Weinberg & Garry Tallent from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

“Shadow Walk” has all the makings of a befitting Americana representative – a catchy guitar riff at the core, bluesy guitar licks that conjure up strong western vibes, swelling guitar sections, and of course, powerful, coarse vocals.

And there’s more where that came from – Allen’s new LP, AmeriKarma, comes out on April 7.
