Following Son Goku’s previous victory over the Red Ribbon Army, a new group influenced by their legacy has emerged, creating the ultimate Androids known as Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These Androids dub themselves “Super Heroes” and launch an attack on Piccolo and Gohan. With imminent danger approaching, it is time for the Super Hero to awaken!

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero premiered in Japan in June 2022 and was later released in the United States in August. The film received global screenings through a collaboration between Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures, offering audiences the choice between the original Japanese audio with subtitles or a dubbed version. The screenings featured the film in 13 dubbed languages and 29 subtitled languages.

The film was helmed by director Tetsuro Kodama and featured music composed by Naoki Satō. The artistic direction was overseen by Nobuhito Sue, Chikashi Kubota served as the animation director, and Jae Hoon Jung was the CG director. Akira Toriyama, the original creator of the Dragon Ball manga, played a significant role in the film’s development, contributing to the original story, screenplay, and character designs.
