Exciting times for Kaiju No. 8 manga fans, its anime adaptation got a brand new English-dubbed trailer, that gives fans a good look at the action to come. Mark your calendars because the highly anticipated anime adaptation is officially set to hit screens on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11 pm JST.

For those unfamiliar, Kaiju No. 8, created by Naoya Matsumoto, follows the journey of Kafka Hibino, who accidentally gains the power to transform into a kaiju after ingesting a small one. Alongside his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, Kafka navigates the world of the Defense Force fighting against kaiju threats.

The latest trailer offered fans a sneak peek into Kafka’s transformation and teased some intense combat scenes featuring the Defense Force members. Plus, it introduced us to new characters and settings crucial to the storyline.

There was also a previous promotional video released about a month ago that also spilled the beans on the anime’s theme songs. Brace yourselves for “Abyss,” the thrilling opening track performed by the talented British artist Yungblud. Meanwhile, get ready to be serenaded by the soothing melodies of “Nobody,” the ending theme by the popular American pop-rock group OneRepublic.

Joining the already stellar cast is Sayaka Senbongi, who will voice Konomi Okonogi, the Operations Leader of the Third Division of the Defense Force. So mark your calendars, set your reminders, and get ready to dive into the thrilling anime world of Kaiju No. 8 this April!
