Netflix’s Pokémon Horizons Anime is Set to Make Its Anticipated Debut

Finally set to debut on March 7th

Netflix has revealed an exciting English-dubbed trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Horizons: The Series, bringing with it the news that the anime is set to debut on March 7 after a brief delay. Originally slated for release on February 23 in the U.S., fans can now mark their calendars for this eagerly anticipated premiere.

This new plot of the Pokémon universe introduces fresh protagonists, Liko and Roy, as they embark on a thrilling journey. The series incorporates popular characters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. Notably, the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza makes an appearance in its Shiny form, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.

Adding to the allure are new characters Friede and Captain Pikachu, a Pokémon professor and Pokémon partner duo who join forces with Liko and Roy in battles. The dynamic quartet promises to deliver a captivating narrative filled with adventure, discovery, and, of course, Pokémon battles.

Behind the scenes, Saori Den, known for her work on Mirage Queen Prefers Circus, takes the directorial reins, while Daiki Tomiyasu, associated with Pokémon Sun & Moon and Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master, serves as the creative director. Dai Sato, a seasoned writer with credits like Eureka Seven, Wolf’s Rain, Samurai Champloo, and Cowboy Bebop, oversees the series scripts.

The anime originally premiered in Japan in April 2023 with an exciting one-hour first-episode special. Will you be tuning in for Pokémon Horizons: The Series?
