LA’s Polyglam Deliver a New Fear and Loathing-Inspired Indie Pop Track “Vegas”

Their take on a wild trip to Vegas

Fresh off their pop-up performance with Franklin Jonas and a successful first year as a band, LA indie pop trio Polyglam have shared their first track of 2024 in “Vegas.”

Polyglam recorded the track in their warehouse studio in Cypress Park, Los Angeles, where they produce, write, mix, engineer & perform all their music as well as other artist projects, such as Panic! At The Disco, Franklin Jonas, Weezer, & MAX. The track serves as the band’s take on the iconic film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which explores the sensation of living your day-to-day life in what feels like a false reality.

“Sometimes life is like a wild night in Vegas,” says the band. “You encounter bizarre characters, you make a bad bet, you go on an acid trip. Whether it’s real or not, one thing is clear: one encounter, one decision, one moment can change the way you see the rest of your life.”

Polyglam was formed one summer when three acquaintances were left to house-sit a music producer’s home. Like ships passing in the night, they coordinated responsibilities: feed the dog, walk the dog, water the plants. Until one day, they crossed paths and gravitated to the home studio, where an immediate connection was made. Many hot days overlooking the Silverlake Reservoir helped shape their dreamlike, nostalgic tone, and what felt like a true summer camp romance turned into a band. Polyglam produces, writes, engineers, performs, and mixes all their own music in their studio in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. The trio features Allie Stamler on lead vocals/strings (Role Models, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp, MAX, Dove Cameron), Rachel White on guitar/keys (Panic! At the Disco, Weezer), and John Sinclair (Weezer, Andrew McMahon) on bass/drums/backing vox/keys.

The band will release more new music ahead of their debut EP in early 2024. What do you think about Polyglam’s latest single “Vegas”?
