Trailer for A24’s New Movie ‘Sing Sing’ Just Dropped Starring Colman Domingo

Inspired by the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility

The official trailer for festival breakout and A24’s new movie Sing Sing, starring Academy Award nominee Colman Domingo, ahead of its US Premiere at SXSW is here. The inspiring true story also features Academy Award nominee Paul Raci and an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors, with a breakout turn by Clarence Maclin.

A24 acquired the theatrical distribution rights to Sing Sing after the drama made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Directed by Greg Kwedar, the film is inspired by the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in New York, following a group of inmates who collaborate on stage shows. Domingo leads Sing Sing, and is joined by a cast that includes Clarence Maclin, Sean San Jose, and Paul Raci (who earned an Academy Award nomination for his supporting turn in Sound of Metal).

The Plot

Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men, including a wary newcomer (Clarence Maclin), in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.

Sing Sing is scheduled to be released by A24 in the United States in July 2024.
