Luke Simo Marries Lo-Fi Hip-Hop & Jazz On His New Single “Time Gone”

A song about feeling the angst & helplessness of being a young adult in today’s world

Luke Simo, a Philly based soul/jazz artist just released their first single, “Time Gone,” from their upcoming debut EP. Produced by lo-fi hip-hop guru Jay Bel and mixed by neo soul DJ/producer Louis Shungu.

The song is about feeling the angst & helplessness of being a young adult in today’s world/uncertainty. It marries lo-fi hip-hop and it’s main source of sampling and inspiration, old school soul and jazz.

Luke Simo is a queer artist based in Philly originally from DC. They have performed or collaborated with artists including Zeke Ultra, Kingsley Ibenche, Maassai, THRONE, Anna Bates, Sir Froderick, Adam Ness, Jay Bel and Louis Shungu as well as performed for Sofar Sounds in NYC, Philly & DC. They are also apart of lofi hip hop collective ‘Hidden Renaissance’. Their debut single “Mom” garnered support from Annabelle Kline’s platform That Good Sh*t and Apple Music’s Proud Radio Apple Music Country with Hunter Kelly.
