Granblue Fantasy Anime is Now Available to Watch for Free on YouTube

It's the first 7 episodes of Season 1

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next entry into the Granblue Fantasy series with the upcoming game, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, releasing February 1, 2024. To hold those fans over, it’s publisher Cygames has released the first seven episodes of the Granblue Fantasy anime, aptly named Granblue Fantasy: The Animation to its YouTube channel.

Unfortunately, it seems that the full season may not be readily available for online viewing, at least in Western regions (there’s 12 episodes in total). However, there’s a silver lining for fans as Season 2, boasting another 12 episodes, can be found on Crunchyroll, offering a continuation of the captivating saga.

Originally airing in 2017, the Granblue Fantasy anime faithfully adapts the core storyline of the beloved Granblue Fantasy mobile game. Katalina, a high-ranking officer from a powerful empire, is on an airship with a special girl named Lyria. Something goes wrong, and they crash on an island. Gran, a local guy who’s good with a sword, finds Lyria. Now, the adventure begins as they try to figure out what to do next.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an upcoming action-RPG developed in partnership with Platinum Games (before they left the project in 2019). The game is set in the same fictional realm as the original Granblue Fantasy but takes place in a different location, although some characters from the original game will appear. It can be played in four person co-operative multiplayer, or, single person play with three AI characters.

Are you looking forward to the game? Have you watched the anime?
