After two successful collaborations with Swedish industrial artist Processor on Vandalism Vol. 2, Melt Motif have joined forces again on “Red Velvet Ant.” To ensure the song can be not only heard but also felt, they invited legendary drum and bass producer TeeBee to add the final touch to the track.
A sound of their own, has been a typical description of Melt Motif, probably because of their ever-changing music style, mixing genres like electronica, trip-hop, metal, and dark pop. The album debut, A White Horse Will Take You Home, and the 2023 follow-up, Particles. Death Objective, both received great reviews from critics, and both albums have been given a remix treatment as Vandalism Vol. 1 and 2.
“Red Velvet Ant” marks the start of a new chapter for Melt Motif and presents a more brutal side of the trio’s musical experiments. A new album is expected in 2024.
