Alternative Artist Lucie Antunes Delivers Exciting New Vision on “Luchadora”

A a frenetic anthem combining club music, hip-hop, trap and pop

Lucie Antunes is back with an exciting new vision on her latest single “Luchadora“, featuring one Baby Volcano.

“Luchadora” sounds like a PMA between Peaches and Soulwax, a frenetic anthem combining club music, hip-hop, trap and unifying pop mixed by Ammar 808, a leading producer on the new Maghreb electronic scene alongside Deena Abdelwahed.

The new single is the first offering off her upcoming project, Amazing Carnaval. An augmented version of her second album that seamlessly blends the sounds of Carnaval with contributions from guest vocalists, producers, and musicians from diverse backgrounds.

Carnaval (2023), Lucie Antunes’ second album, marked a significant milestone in her (not so) young career. The album allowed her to connect with a new audience, and her reputation as an excellent live performer was solidified in France and Europe. This culminated in her opening for Rock en Seine on the main stage just before Billie Eilish, performing in front of 40,000 people, and at the Eurosonic Festival in January 2024.

Lucie Antunes and her Amazing Carnaval have set their sights on an auspicious start to the new year, with five new tracks that explore the pop codes of contemporary music: erudite, complex, constantly seeking a balance between the most arduous rhythmic theory and the need to get people dancing, between the cerebral and the body that moves, taps and strikes.

The full deluxe edition of Amazing Carnaval will be available March 1st on digital via CryBaby & InFiné. What do you think of Lucia Antunes’ latest offering “Luchadora”?
