Thundercat Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of ‘Apocalypse’ with a Special Edition

The special edition includes 2 previously unreleased tracks

Stephen Lee Bruner, aka Thundercat, might have started out with Suicidal Tendencies, but it was his crossover solo career that took him to prominence. Now,  to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his album Apocalypse, Thundercat is preparing a special deluxe vinyl edition of that album including 2 previously unreleased tracks.

The two new tracks are “Before I loved myself ‘I’ pooped my ankles (true)” recorded with Austin Peralta and Taylor Graves, and “Paris” (with Mono/Poly). The deluxe LP also features special rainbow holographic artwork housed inside a transparent PVC outer slipcase complete with “x-ray” holographic skull print.

2023 has been a whirlwind year for Thundercat. Touring highlights included Glastonbury, two sold-out shows at Sydney Opera House, more stadium gigs with rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers, and his own North American headline run featuring a show at the iconic Red Rocks amphitheater. And a superlative hometown gig at The Greek Theatre in LA with special guests Donald Glover/Childish Gambino, Steve Lacy, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Suicidal Tendencies and more.

Apocalypse was the second solo album from Thundercat and was originally released in July 2013 under the label Brainfeeder. Majority of the tracks were written by Thundercat & Flying Lotus, with Flying Lotus handling most of the production. It was a general hit with audiences and critics alike.
