Lauryn Hill released one of the greatest albums of all-time with her solo debut, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Now, in celebration of the milestone the enigmatic songstress will be hitting the road for a multi-city tour.
“The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is and was a love song to my parents, my family, my people, my musical and cultural forebears, my teachers, my loves, my Creator,” Hill shared. “I wrote love songs and protest songs — (still love songs) about the subjects and interests that inspired and moved me. I was confident that what inspired me would resonate with an audience that had been led to believe that songs of that kind could only live in the past.”
Not only will she be performing the entirety of her Grammy-winning album, but she’ll also be joined by fellow members of the Fugees. Welcome news after they were forced to cancel their previously announced reunion tour due to the pandemic. The Fugees’ Pras will almost assuredly be missing from the tour.
The tour starts Sept. 8 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and ends Nov. 9 in Seattle. You can get tickets to the tour online now on Ticketmaster.
