There’s always been a certain mythological mystique around the legendary Studio 54, even for people from my generation, and now we get our first real in depth look at one of the world’s most historic nightclubs and we’re gonna be there for all of it. Looks like one of the year’s must watch documentaries. And speaking of must watch documentaries Zion looks like a real tear jerker, and a fresh new sports story of overcoming all odds. Although Simon Pegg may not be the brains behind Slaughterhouse Rulez, it’s usually a good sign whenever you see him teaming up with long-time friend, Nick Frost. Think Hogwarts minus the magic and about 5 times the violence and you have what could be a surprisingly entertaining flick.
Season 1 of Iron Fist was easily the weakest entry out of all the Netflix/Marvel series but they’ve made big promises for its second season, and from what we’ve seen from the trailer it looks like they just might deliver on that promise. The main antagonist looks like a real threat this time and hopefully he spends more time on the streets and less time dealing with corporate BS. As if Disney doesn’t own enough of our childhoods, they’re now taking aim at the classic tale of The Nutcracker. It looks eerily similar to their take on Alice in Wonderland, but hopefully it’s not beat for beat with that series, because that one had some serious flaws.
