City and Colour — the moniker for celebrated singer/songwriter Dallas Green — has announced his spring US tour in support of his critically acclaimed recent album, The Love Still Held Me Near. City and Colour will start the tour on the West Coast and make his way to the East coast, starting on May 3rd at the Beachlife Festival in Redondo Beach, CA and ending at Stage AE in Philadelphia, PA on May 20th. Other stops include Tucson, Santa Fe, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Birmingham, Nashville, Louisville, Philadelphia, Norfolk, and Cleveland.
City and Colour’s 2024 Canadian arena tour was incredibly strong, with multiple sold-out shows that included Victoria, Edmonton, London, and Oshawa. The Love Still Held Me Near was met with high praise from a wide range of outlets worldwide, with major acclaim in the US. City and Colour wrapped up 2023 with an incredible U.S. tour run in the spring and fall, with sold out shows in major cities such as Denver, LA, San Diego, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, and many others.
The Love Still Held Me Near was born out of the most difficult period in Green’s life, including the tragic loss of his best friend in 2019. Green explains, “It’s about digging deep down into yourself and attempting to unearth hope and light in the things that can comfort you through those times. For me that has always been writing and recording music, so that’s exactly what I did.”
The depth of Green’s emotions are thoughtfully articulated through these songs in ways that make them so relatable. He continues to solidify the connection with his audience on his seventh album.
