Wilco to Reissue ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’ Deluxe Box Set

The set is celebrating 20 years from the original release

Wilco released Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, one of their best albums, some 20 years ago, and to celebrate the occasion Jeff Tweedy and the band are releasing multiple editions of the album that will feature previously unreleased recordings. They’re all due out September 16 via Nonesuch. The band has shared a 2002 live version of “Reservations” from the box set.

The super deluxe edition is available as an 11xLP (plus single-CD) box set or an 8xCD collection. It includes 82 previously unreleased tracks and a book with new liner notes from Bob Mehr and interviews with Jeff Tweedy, Glenn Kotche, and Jim O’Rourke. It also includes photos chronicling the album’s creation.

Other reissue editions include the 7xLP deluxe edition with 39 unreleased tracks, a digital deluxe edition with 49 unreleased tracks, a standard 2xLP pressing, and a 2xCD version with 18 bonus tracks.

In addition to the remastered original album, there are three collections of tracks titled American Aquarium: Building Yankee Hotel Foxtrot; Here Comes Everybody: Building Yankee Hotel Foxtrot; and The Unified Theory of Everything: Building Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. There’s also a collection of “demos, drafts, instrumental, etc.,” a 2002 live show in St. Louis, and Wilco’s appearance on WXRT’s Sound Opinions in 2001.
