Hollywood icons Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson are heading west in the upcoming action-packed Western The Unholy Trinity, set to premiere in U.S. theaters on June 13, 2025. The film’s newly released trailer teases a gripping tale of vengeance, buried secrets, and moral ambiguity, all set against the rugged backdrop of 1870s Montana.
Plot
Directed by Richard Gray (Murder at Yellowstone City) and penned by Lee Zachariah, The Unholy Trinity features Brosnan as Gabriel Dove, a former outlaw turned sheriff striving to maintain order in the tumultuous town of Trinity. Opposite him, Jackson portrays the enigmatic and menacing St. Christopher, a mysterious figure with his own hidden agenda.
The narrative centers on Henry Broadway (Brandon Lessard), a young man tasked with avenging his father Isaac’s (Tim Daly) wrongful execution. As Henry navigates a treacherous path between Dove and St. Christopher, he becomes entangled in a web of deceit and long-buried truths.
Adding a personal touch to the film, Brosnan’s real-life sons, Dylan and Paris, join the cast, portraying a pastor and a character named Thomas, respectively. Brosnan expressed pride in collaborating with his sons, acknowledging the challenges of the acting profession while supporting their aspirations.
Critics have lauded the trailer for its revitalization of classic Western tropes, blending traditional elements with contemporary storytelling. The film delves into themes of justice, redemption, and the blurred lines between heroism and villainy. The dynamic between Dove and St. Christopher promises a compelling exploration of morality and survival in the Old West.
