Born and raised in the Mojave Desert singer-songwriter Alas de Liona, now a Scotland resident, has just released her enchanting new single “Analogy.”
The single, produced by Idlewild’s Rod Jones, acts as an ethereal glance of Alas’ debut album Gravity Of Gold, coming out September 13th via Deli Owner Records/AbsoluteLabelServices.

Alas de Liona originally came to Scotland to complete a university course, during which her musical talents first emerged. In 2020 she took steps toward fulfilling her musical aspirations, recording her debut EP Radio Astronomy and releasing it the following year. The EP won praise from national radio and publications like BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio, Scotland on Sunday, YMX, Indie Music Center and was picked up by over 400 Spotify playlists.
She has since opened for powerhouses like Rufus Wainwright, Travis, Callum Beattie, Sister Sledge and has played her first headline shows in Glasgow and Edinburgh. She also appeared as a special guest alongside Hamish Hawk and Admiral Fallow at The Proclaimers’ Big Top Concerts.
A proud Edinburgh-resident since 2023, Alas made the permanent move from the US to the UK after getting a special Global Talent Visa. She wasted no time and went back into the Post Electric Studio with her live band and producer Rod Jones to record her debut 11-track album ‘Gravity Of Gold’, out this September.
