Dynamic alt songwriter Ayleen Valentine has released her highly-anticipated debut album little rainbows after death, available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide via Giant Music. The album was written and produced entirely by Ayleen and showcases glimpses of alternative, electronic, metal, and R&B throughout.
“I started writing this album at a dark time in my life,” says Ayleen. “I had no purpose or meaning in life and started this project as a means to understand what I was going through. I called it ‘little rainbows after death’ because I truly feel like there was a little rainbow waiting there after all. I’m so proud of these songs and myself for climbing out of the hole I was in.”
Growing up in Miami, Ayleen Valentine always had a passion for songwriting and art. She dreamed of working with artists like James Blake, loved the rawness of rappers like XXXTentacion, and respected Grimes for her ability to self-produce. The 22-year-old Valentine dropped out of Berklee College of Music, where she had a full ride for music production, to move to LA and devote herself entirely to music. Drawing upon her Argentinian and Peruvian background, Ayleen incorporates a fresh, distinct perspective in her songwriting mixed with her solid production style. To kick off 2024, Ayleen released three singles from the upcoming album, “ask nicely,” “sex symbol,” and “000memories,” which garnered support from Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday, Lorem, New Noise, Apple Music’s New in Alternative, and Amazon’s Breakthrough Indie, to name a few.
