Archival research at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh led to the discovery of 12 rough versions of previously unreleased songs by Lou Reed that had been recorded for Andy Warhol on cassette.
The monophonic reel-to-reel ¼” tapes contain alternative versions and mixes of the nine initial songs that formed the foundation of 1967's 'The Velvet Underground & Nico.'
