The massive archive spans musical genres including classical, pop, rock, and jazz, and contain obscure recordings like an album of music for baton twirlers, and a record of radio’s all-time greatest bloopers.
At a pace of uploading nearly 30 items a day, the Live Music Archive reached the one-quarter million recording mark in June 2023 and now takes up more than 250 terabytes of data on Internet Archive servers.
The John Peel Sessions include just about everybody who was anybody in music during that time, while the Internet Archive has compiled no less than 14,566 Grateful Dead bootlegs.
