A$AP Twelvyy's debut won't make him a household name or the Mob's next breakout artist but it's a very solid project that really captures that NY feel and at the least make him a respected act in the industry. A solid start to a long delayed career.
"Bless Yo Trap" is a by the numbers 'SoundCloud rap' album that fails to produce anything really worth of note. When the bar of entry into this sub-genre is this low they were always bound to start cannibalizing each others' sound and fan base sooner than later.
Top tier lyricism, strong production, great use of features, and revelatory storytelling make Book of Ryan THE definitive Royce da 5'9" album and a must listen.
With 'Book Of Changes,' Noveliss might be on to something that can be called meditation hip-hop.
Apollo Brown definitely coasted on this one and it showed. It'll still make the catalog because I still love a good Apollo Brown beat but 'No Question' is one of his weakest efforts yet.
We had a blast shooting our next video in our PRESENTS series with up and coming hip-hop artist, Axcess and we wanted to share a few shots from the sit down. Be on the look out for the video and article dropping soon.
Nicki Minaj's latest wasn't all hits but it far exceeded expectations and there's more than enough present to remind everyone why she blew up to such extraordinary heights in the first place. It's a shame though that she won't just let the music speak for itself.
Do What Thou Wilt. is a step in the right direction for Ab-Soul. It features some of his best production and sharpest lyrics in some time. Even though there are still some baffling contradictions that I guess I'm just not "woke" enough to get.
At times, Rather You Than Me falls victim to sounding too formulaic and predictable, especially in some of it's production choices, but a strong lyrical showing with a renewed focus on substance over style make this one of Ross' best projects in years.
It's official, 'OutKast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' is now the highest-selling album in rap history, knocking off Eminem's 'The Eminem Show.'
While you can draw comparisons to many well-known rappers, J’Moris exhibits enough individuality and musical/lyrical capabilities to pique the interest of both hip-hop connoisseurs and those not that familiar with the genre.
If you've had a hard time keeping up with the endless stream of music Curren$y puts out and skip one or two projects here and there, make sure you don't miss this one.
The Easy Truth is hip-hop in it's purest form with Apollo Brown taking us through a master class of producing and sampling, and Skyzoo taking each track through a lyrical exercise. It's a beautiful, refreshing album that shows exactly why Apollo Brown is one of my all-time favorites.
Rebel Against Society was another big step forward for Axcess as he continues to find his groove and his voice. I only hope that he doesn't pull any punches next go around when it comes to speaking what's on his mind. He along with artists like Chance the Rapper are making me more of a believer in positivity in hip-hop.
Atrocity Exhibition is a manic trip down to the darkest corners of Danny Brown's mind, full of paranoia, anxiety, and regret. He's the punk rock of hip-hop and it's a refreshing sound unlike any other.
On 'Moris Better: Loveless Confessions' J'Moris carries lightly the heavy burden of romance rap.

My general feeling after listening to the Migos' latest was that I heard this all before from them, and much better. Whereas Culture felt fresh and radical in it's trendsetting ways, Culture II feels regressive and safe. This time they're going to have a hard time distinguishing themselves from the many clones they've spawned over the years.
Prolific LA rapper Garrett Zoukis has shared his new single “Too Late,” a rap record driven by dark chords, 808s and bravado.
Legendary rapper and Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah has confirmed that he is set to release a new memoir, titled Rise Of A Killah: My Life In The Wu-Tang.
'Beloved' is solid core NY hip-hop and while it is yet another non-essential collab, more Styles P is always a welcome thing.
Philly based soul/jazz artist Luke Simo just released their first single, "Time Gone," a perfect marriage of lo-fi hip-hop and old school soul/jazz.
Kanye West has gone on another social media rant, this time aimed at everyone from Adidas to Hailey Bieber to Daily Mail and ultimately Drake.
Check out our sit down with rising rapper West, where we talk about his new single and video "Checks", going viral with his previous song "Euro$tep", Chinese rappers and influence, writing vs freestyling, and more.
