December had a ton of great new albums and music videos from the likes of Miguel, N.E.R.D, JAY-Z, and SZA; and it also featured some interesting trailers for Ready Player One, Sicario 2: Soldado, and You Were Never Really Here. We've highlighted some of the best drops over the month and now we're ready to crown the best album, movie trailer, and music video.

A lot has been said about Desiigner over the past few months, some good, most negative. But let me tell why Desiigner isn't going anywhere anytime soon and is here for the long haul.
Future & Juice WRLD is yet another collaboration that really has no reason for existing other than streaming numbers. A lifeless listen that doesn't bring out the best of either artist.
It's far from his best tape but it's still high quality mindless music that you can vibe and turn up too. If you're not expecting anything different from Future, then BEASTMODE 2 is right up your alley.
HNDRXX lacks the hard trap music but it seemed to soak up all the emotion and feeling that was missing on FUTURE, and it had a higher quality feel to it that made it my favorite out of the pair. I think however, he would've been better served combining the best elements from both projects to create something truly memorable.

We're back and we're finally doing it! We're finally getting around to listing our top 20 albums of the year...so far. First we list our individual lists then try to come to a consensus top 20; it's a great mix of big name, established acts and a whole lot of left field wild cards, so check it out and let us know what would've made your list.

February had a ton of great new albums and music videos from the likes of Big Sean, Future, Lana Del Rey, and Depeche Mode, and it also featured some interesting trailers for Song to Song, Personal Shopper, and American Anarchist. We've highlighted some of the best drops over the month and now we're ready to crown the best album, movie trailer, and music video.
Lil Wayne started this outpouring of mixtapes and artists like Future, Young Thug, and Curren$y have since tried to emulate that mythical run, but the purpose and definition of a mixtape has changed drastically since those early days. It's time we stopped applauding this endless wave of mediocre mixtapes and started calling it out for the cop out it is.
There's really not a whole lot to say about Kolorblind, there's a handful of knocking songs that warrant a few spins and seeing Nas on here was an unexpected surprise, although it was more than a bit underwhelming, but there's nothing as big as "Too Much Sauce" and there's nothing that would make Future's greatest hits. At this point you either love/like Future or you don't.
This joint project has been a long time coming but unfortunately it doesn't quite live up to it's potential. Instead of raising each other's level they instead fall back to their usual formulas on songs that sound more like past throwaways than fresh, new creations.
FUTURE feels like a by the numbers project from the rapper that ironically lacks a lot of the emotion and feeling that he often claims of others' music. Easily one of the more forgettable ones from his now extensive catalog.
For those expecting a more evolved or matured Future ready to open up, 'The WIZRD' will be a disappointment, but for those just wanting higher quality Future music than we've been getting, then he delivers.
I really had to sit down and do my work for this month, so get ready to clear some space...
