Friend of LLF and frequent collaborator, Axcess just released his very dope latest project Rebel Against Society, and to celebrate it's release he put on quite the show at the Reverb Lounge in Omaha, Nebraska. The whole affair was hosted by Doc Beatbox with DJ K-Dub on the boards, and featured guest appearances from Trevor Scott, Houdini, Meraki Skies, Greco, and K3rtis Montano. And we've got some great shots from the night.
The first stop in The DAMN. Tour was nothing less than spectacular. High energy and engaging from start to finish with some spectacular stage visuals from both Travis and Kendrick. This is him at his peak with an arsenal of hits to work with; the wait to see him was well worth it.

Enter Shikari brought every bit of expected energy and then some. The crowd’s energy was easily that of a group twice the size, and the exchange between the band and crowd was a true spectacle. For this photographer, it was almost enough to set my camera gear aside and wade into the pit. Check out our collection of photos from a fantastic show at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.
In this modern age of overproduction, auto-tune, and digital manipulation it’s all too easy to lose the emotional power of a voice in the chaos. Sometimes it only takes the simplest of setups to filter all that “noise” out and remind you just how powerful that connection with a voice really is. 23 year old London native Freya Ridings has one such voice. Check out the full gallery of shots from the show.
At 30 years old, Anderson East is just getting started and without question will be one to watch in the coming years. East is currently on tour with his full band and Jade Bird with summer dates throughout the Midwest. Regardless of the type of music you think you like, East’s energy has something for everyone and is a performer you can’t afford to miss. Check out our full gallery of shots from the night.
Simply put, recordings of the songs can’t do the live performance justice. FRENSHIP has to be experienced in person! They’re currently on their US Tour through June 5th and should not be missed! Check out our full gallery of shots from the night.
A small venue doesn’t allow for a large audience; that’s self-evident. They also make it hard for an artist to hide behind distance. The 9th Ward, which recently hosted Mary Lambert and Mal Blum - and other small venues - hold a special place of importance. They provide a unique space, one often with a story, and only allow a select few to wander in at one time.
Troye Sivan came to The Anthem in D.C. with a stellar performance, with support from Leland and Kim Petras, the crowd was swooning all night long. Check out our full gallery of shots and be sure to catch him on tour.

Goodbye June and Greta Van Fleet put on amazing sets for a packed house at DC9 Nightclub in Washington, D.C. on August 26. Goodbye June opened the night with great energy and their unique classic southern rock influenced sound blended with a modern edge. Greta Van Fleet headlined and from the opening chord brought a sonic "tour de force" that pictures just can't do justice.
The High Divers took the crowd at D.C.’s Hamilton Live by surprise and didn’t stop for their entire 60 minute set. Playing a mix of unreleased songs off their new album and favorites from their 2015 album Riverlust, their feel good rock vibes, infectious energy, and larger than life sound made a fan of this concert photographer.
Moments when a band is able to completely capture the energy of the crowd and harness it are rarer than one would expect, but with their performance of “Middle Fingers” MISSIO was able to do just that. As all 500 concert goers triumphantly waved both middle fingers high, the restless energy of current political and social events was given a momentary catharsis. Expect to see big things from this band and if you can, check them out live on their currently sold-out nationwide tour. Once in a while I’m pleasantly surprised by an evening that is so intimately tied together that you can’t divorce the performances from each other. Performances that demand to be addressed as a whole rather than cut into distinct pieces. Gordi and S. Carey put on one such performance to a sold-out crowd at DC9 Nightclub in Washington, D.C. Check out the full gallery of photos from their amazing sets here.
[dropcap size=big]T[/dropcap]here is power in a band’s genuine relationship with their fans. A tangible connection that is somehow greater than...
Wolf Alice’s sound is all about hidden sharp edges. Deep dangerous things lurking just beneath the surface until they come exploding out in an all-out barrage. A stage presence that is driven by their music, they visibly feed off the energy of the crowd creating a feedback loop through the ebb and flow of their set. Another band that recordings just don’t do justice to, especially the subtle power of Ellie’s voice. Check out our full gallery of shots and be sure to catch them on tour.
We've just gotten a press release from What So Not announcing all of the dates through his upcoming tour, so check it out and start marking your calendars now.
Chris Emerson aka What So Not stopped by the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. and threw down. Exactly a year after his last appearance, D.C. was ready for more great vibes.
