Kraftwerk are now considered as one of the greatest electro bands around, and their album Radioactivity as one of their best. Now, the band are set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this, their fifth album, with special edition reissues that will be out May 15, 2026, via Warner Records / Parlophone Records. Those include a very cool picture-disc vinyl edition and a Blu-ray audio disc.
This 50th Anniversary picture disc vinyl LP edition features newly reimagined artwork with a spined sleeve die-cut to match the cover art.
The Blu-ray edition features three mixes of Radio-Activity, including a Dolby Atmos spatial audio mix reconstructed from the original 16-track tapes at Kling Klang Studio by Kraftwerk founder Ralf Hütter and Fritz Hilpert. There’s also a 5.1 surround mix made from the Atmos mix and the 2009 stereo remaster.
The Atmos mix will also be available to stream via Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon and other streaming services (no Spotify, though, which currently doesn’t offer Atmos or other spatial audio).
