Oasis are embarking on a reunion tour and one of the perks for their fans is the upcoming reissue of their album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?
A deluxe version of the iconic album will be released via Big Brother Recordings on October 3, a day after the original version of the record came out in 1995. You can pre-order it here.
The reissue will come in various vinyl formats and will feature five new unplugged versions of classic tracks, produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and his engineer Callum Marinho, including “Wonderwall,” “Morning Glory,” “Champagne Supernova,” “Cast No Shadow” and the aforementioned “Some Might Say” B-side, which you can listen to below. It will also be released as a double CD.
The reissue will feature new artwork shot by original sleeve designer Brian Cannon and new sleeve notes.
Exclusive colored vinyl formats include an indie record store exclusive “Cast No Shadow” inspired Crystal Clear 3xLP, a HMV “Morning Glory” inspired blue marble 3xLP, an Amazon exclusive “Wonderwall” inspired sepia marble 3xLP, and an official store exclusive “Acquiesce” inspired neon orange 3xLP. All formats will include the 2014 remastered version of the album alongside the new bonus versions.
Released 14 months after their landmark debut Definitely Maybe, which itself was the fastest selling debut LP in British music at the time, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? launched Oasis into the stratosphere selling 345,000 copies in its first week before going on to spend 10 weeks at Number One on the UK Albums Chart.
