The much-anticipated Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie has sparked excitement among fans after potential release date leaks surfaced online. The film is rumored to premiere in Fall 2025, continuing the epic saga following the “Hashira Training” arc and addressing the dramatic cliffhanger from the anime’s previous season.
According to a listing from German CineStar, a prominent cinema chain, an “Untitled Crunchyroll/Sony/Aniplex Event Film” has been described as the Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle Arc movie. The listing indicates a September 25, 2025 release date in Germany. This revelation aligns with a previously leaked listing from Sony’s official website, which described a similar event. However, the Sony listing was quickly removed, fueling speculation about the film’s release plans.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie will pick up from the events of the “Hashira Training” arc, which saw Tanjiro and the remaining Hashira preparing for their toughest battle yet. The arc sets the stage for a climactic confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, and his most powerful upper-rank demons. The Infinity Castle itself is a sprawling, otherworldly domain that serves as Muzan’s stronghold, offering a visually stunning and emotionally intense backdrop for the story’s final showdown.
For those new to the series, Crunchyroll’s official synopsis of Demon Slayer introduces Tanjiro’s quest:
“It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a ‘demon slayer’ so that he can turn his sister back into a human and kill the demon that massacred his family.”
