Buzzing Artist Spill Tab Shares Dynamic New Alt-Pop Offering “De Guerre”

Takes on a hyperpop eclecticism over a harsh synth-bassline and pounding drums

LA-based French-Korean singer, songwriter, and producer spill tab shares a fresh glimpse into her debut album with the release of her latest track, “De Guerre.

Co-produced by spill tab and apob alongside Mikey Freedom Hart (Taylor Swift, Empress Of), the track takes on a hyperpop eclecticism, threading nonchalant French spoken lyrics over a harsh synth-bassline and pounding drums, building an intricate soundscape of speeding melodic motifs.

Speaking about the song, spill tab, real name Claire Chicha, comments “’De Guerre’ is my personal soundtrack to a chaotic night out on the town – dancing, sweating, going absolutely feral, indulging in my vices, ignoring every consequence, and just being in my body.”

‘De Guerre’ mark spill tab’s first release since last year’s KLEPTO EP. The EP came on the heels of her stint supporting Sabrina Carpenter on the Emails I Can’t Send tour and a standout performance at Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase, both of which saw her lauded for captivating crowds with her electrifying, high-energy sets.

Raised by a French Algerian composer father and a Korean pianist mother, Chicha spent her early years immersed in music at her parents’ post-production studio, absorbing jazz, classical, and other diverse influences. Following a childhood spent between LA, Thailand, and Paris, where she picked up guitar and soaked in a variety of musical traditions, Chicha developed a distinctive sound blending raw-edged guitar confessionals with anthemic pop hooks.
