The official website of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) has announced that Cour 4 of the anime, and its final, is on its way. The announcement came right after the broadcast of the final episode of Cour 3 on December 29, 2024.
This final part of the anime, titled Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, will bring the epic TYBW arc to a thrilling conclusion. To hype up fans, the announcement included a new promotional video and a striking visual, both of which hint at intense battles and emotional moments to come.

Cour 3 of Bleach: TYBW aired from October 5, 2024, to December 28, 2024. It featured Six Lounge performing the opening theme song, “Without Any Word,” and Suisoh delivering the ending theme, “Monochrome.” These songs perfectly complemented the intense and emotional tone of the arc.
One interesting behind-the-scenes detail was recently revealed by the anime’s chief director, Tomohisa Taguchi. In an interview, he mentioned that the production team took photos of the staff to help animate particularly complex scenes. This innovative approach allowed them to bring key moments of the story to life with greater realism and emotion.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is based on the final arc of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga and is a direct continuation of the original Bleach anime, which ran from 2004 to 2012.
