Austin Coven Brings Healing to the Dancefloor with New Single “Rubbing Alcohol”

A pulsating new electro pop tune

Austin Coven kicks the new year into full gear with pulsating new electro pop tune, “Rubbing Alcohol.” Coven’s third and final single before the release of his new album, The Hummingbird Cabin, is now available on most streaming platforms.

A boisterous anthem focusing on the pangs of queer heartbreak that combines silky smooth vocals with lush, witch-house synths. Wrapped in the irresistible allure of electro pop, Austin Coven’s “Rubbing Alcohol” casts vulnerability with empowerment, creating a sonic pleasure with its healing powers. With a main message of the song being that both time and rubbing alcohol heal all wounds, the high voltage energy of the track similarly soothes and strengthens its audience.

Together with “Hope We Get Caught”, “Cherry Bomb Explosives”, and “Rubbing Alcohol”, Austin Coven provides a great snapshot of what’s to be expected on his forthcoming LP, The Hummingbird Cabin. Releasing February 21st, the new album cultivates a sonic haven where one can go to escape problems from their outside and inside worlds. By highlighting the healing powers of experimental dance music, The Hummingbird Cabin accepts any and everyone who wishes to drop by.

“Sonically, ‘Rubbing Alcohol’ is as addictive as its themes are raw. It pulses with an infectious energy, blending sultry vocals with driving beats and witchhouse-inspired synths to create a sound that’s equal parts catharsis and celebration. It’s impossible not to feel sexy and alive as the track builds, making it perfect for those late-night moments where emotions run high and the dancefloor becomes your escape. It’s a celebration of surviving the sting of love and emerging with a renewed sense of self.”
