Already carving out a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting new forces, Hertfordshire-hailing artist, producer, and engineer Tom Did It keeps the momentum sky high with the release of his brand-new single “To The Front.”
After the introspective tones of his last single “Dreams In Colour” with Loski & Kirky, Tom flips the script, tapping rising stars TYK and ThaFirst for a cut built for pre-drinks, club missions, and carefree nights.
First sparked in a late 2024 studio session with TYK and producer GW, “To The Front” was initially just a loose idea. But when Tom circled back to it earlier this year, he knew it had potential. One call later, ThaFirst was in the studio laying down a verse before Tom’s production magic pulled it all together into this final form.
TYK, the North London rapper known for his melodic switches and steel-edged lyricism, has been building serious buzz across the UK underground, while ThaFirst, a true product of grime’s new generation, brings a turbo-charged energy that feels like a siren call to the mosh pits. Together with Tom, they create a riotous collision of styles, a testament to the shape-shifting spirit of the next wave.
Packing vibrant, playful flows over an addictive beat, and wrapped up with a wild visual directed by Lutch, the track is a reminder that while Tom can do depth and storytelling with the best of them, he also knows exactly how to deliver pure, no-frills energy when it’s needed.
It’s just another testament to Tom’s range as an artist who built his own studio (affectionately dubbed The Barn) with his dad in Hertfordshire, where he spent the past few years honing a sound that blends UK rap, indie pop, grime and rock in a way few others dare to. With hundreds of songs under his belt, and co-signs from heavyweights like Nafe Smallz, Chip, and Sigma, Tom Did It is moving with purpose and making serious noise in the process.
