The Who are currently on their farewell U.S. tour, and to coincide with it, the band has prepared a huge reissue of Who Are You? (1978), their last album with drummer Keith Moon. It will be a 7-CD/Blu-ray super deluxe edition that will also be available as a 2-CD or 4-LP set, and on half-speed and colored vinyl. All variants will be available from October 31, 2025.
All editions include more than 70 unreleased tracks, with versions of songs that have not been heard before, as well as a rejected initial mix from Glyn Johns and tracks from the live concert at the U.K. Shepperton Studios for the filming of The Kids Are Alright documentary.
The album was the last one the band recorded with their legendary drummer, Keith Moon, who passed away only a few weeks after it was released. The then-new drummer, Kenney Jones, is included on some rehearsal and newly mixed live tracks here.
The original double-platinum LP peaked at No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 6 in the U.K. The Who’s title track became a Top 10 single on the Hot 100 and reached the Top 20 in the U.K. The new super deluxe package’s Blu-ray disc features Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, and PCM Stereo mixes created by Steven Wilson. He also rescued a previously lost guitar solo on “Sister Disco” from the original multi-track tapes.
