Back in 1973, Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham released a duo album titled Buckingham Nicks, which the music industry didn’t care much about, except a bunch of music critics and one Mick Fleetwood, who on the basis of it invited the duo to join Fleetwood Mac.
The album has been quite a fave of record collectors and has been long out of print. Now, celebrating its 50th anniversary, the album will be re-released on September 19, 2025. The upcoming reissue features remastered audio sourced from the original analog master tapes and will be available on vinyl, as well as CD and digitally.
Among the variants will be a 5,000 individually numbered copies in Rhino High Fidelity, as well as 2,000 limited copies that included two replica 7-inch singles featuring the original single mixes of “Crying In The Night” b/w “Stephanie.” Those versions are available exclusively through Rhino.com and internationally at select Warner Music Group stores.
Colored vinyl variants are also exclusive to Amazon (custard), independent record stores (baby pink), and general retailers (baby blue).
As a reminder, Buckingham and Nicks have continued to separate and subsequently reconcile. The duo last performed together as part of Fleetwood Mac on their 2018 tour, after which Buckingham was dismissed from the band amid ongoing tensions with Nicks. Buckingham later sued Fleetwood Mac, though the dispute was settled, and the ex-bandmates have had minimal contact since then — reportedly speaking only briefly at Christine McVie’s memorial following her death in 2022.
