Kansas City rock outfit Shiner are back with their heavy new single “So Far So“, alongside its official video. The track comes off their just released album BELIEVEYOUME, out via Spartan Records.
“The lyric to ‘So Far So’ is a list of failures, catastrophes and embarrassments endured that have ultimately strengthened and empowered a character,” frontman Allen Epley said. “So that when and if he is left high and dry by someone, he already knows he’s been through the shit and can handle whatever storms and stress may come from his partner leaving.”
He adds, “The clip for ‘So Far So’ was adapted from a Clayton Brown short film featuring Reid Coker and Elliot Epley called ‘Via Theta’, filmed in 2019 using homemade film FX techniques like using found objects and forced perspective.”
Having spent over three decades redefining heavy, melodic rock, evolving from the raw power of their early years into something more layered, dynamic, and emotionally resonant, BELIEVEYOUME finds Shiner channeling that evolution into a set of songs that feel immediate yet timeless, balancing their signature heaviness with newfound space and vulnerability. BELIEVEYOUME digs deep into aging, relationships, and self-deception, its title reflecting the ambiguity and contradictions at the heart of human connection. The result is Shiner at their most honest and self-aware — still heavy, still weird, and still pushing forward after all these years.
