Rising Singer-Songwriter Sam MacPherson Shares Personal New Single “American Dream Trajectory”

Rising singer-songwriter Sam MacPherson unveils his deeply personal new single, “American Dream Trajectory”, out on all streaming platforms. The song serves as the title track to his highly anticipated debut album, set for release on May 9th. The release follows MacPherson’s recent signing with TikTok, further amplifying his reach and influence.

“American Dream Trajectory” captures the delicate balance of opening up to a new love while grappling with the ghosts of the past. “It’s about deciding how much of your past you’d like to share with someone you might see a future with,” Sam explains. “It’s about trying to trust another person with the hopes and dreams you’ve only just now, after a long fight, felt worthy of again.”

For the album, Sam collaborated with BRIT Award-winning UK producer Thom Lewis (Sam Fender), bringing him to New Jersey to immerse himself in the people and places that shaped his story. Together, they crafted a raw and unfiltered sound, recording the album live with a full band that captures the energy, intimacy, and urgency of the moment.

With the release of “American Dream Trajectory”, Sam MacPherson sets the stage for his biggest chapter yet. He will embark on a nationwide tour beginning April 18th, culminating in a special album release show at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles on May 8th.

Born and raised in New Jersey but resides in Nashville, MacPherson has been quietly carving out a space for himself in the modern singer-songwriter landscape, amassing hundreds of millions of streams and cultivating a devoted fanbase. His evocative storytelling and unguarded lyricism have drawn comparisons to artists like Noah Kahan and Sam Fender, earning him critical acclaim and a growing presence in the indie-folk and alternative scenes.
