Irish newcomer Altara brings the energy with brand new single “knewyouright,” arriving as a dance anthem, it’s about accepting that sometimes, we can all get it wrong. Born to dance to, the new track is an addictive dose of vivid electro-pop.
Sharing more behind “knewyouright,” Altara shares: “I had built up this ideal version of someone in my head, and they were just never gonna be that, nobody could. It sounds like a dig, but it’s more a song of acceptance, that I was wrong. I think that it’s okay to be wrong about people, from both perspectives
“I’ve always envisaged dancing on a table for this song! The way the drums interact with the bass is something I’m particularly proud of, it’s so addictive.”
Today’s new single is the follow up to January’s release “pleasedontleave.” Having always held a flame for EDM, “pleasedontleave” leant into Altara’s love for electronica, moving his sound in a brand new direction and kicking off 2025 fully charged.
Having only launched back in August with his impressive debut single “Somebody To Lose,” Altara was quick to win over listeners with his playful and punchy first move. He’s spent the last few years evolving his sound and finessing his production skills which continue to evolve in real time.
