Rising Alt-Pop Artist Rohan Basks in Unconditional Love on New Single “Precious”

Melbourne/San Francisco alt-pop artist & producer ROHAN basks in unconditional love on “Precious” out with a vibrant, Bay Area-set visualizer. Breezy and tender, the feel good tune captures unconditional love outside of romance–from pets, to family, to best friends.

Light ukulele strums mix with electric guitar textures and stirring synths to evoke a magical yet grounded, serene sense of calm. ROHAN shares, “I wrote it about my dog, Kosta, but it’s really about unconditional love in its purest form. The kind that doesn’t ask for much back but still changes you. I sing: ‘You are my precious, not quite my kind, but I have found a way for words to make sense to you.’

ROHAN continues, “That line sums it up — how love can exist even when you’re wired completely differently from someone. Whether you’re a partner, a parent, a sibling, or a pet owner, that feeling of giving your whole heart without needing to explain yourself — that’s what this song is chasing.”

Produced by himself, the artist and producer was influenced by Billie Eilish’s production style, with her keen ability to blur softness with unease. On the production, ROHAN says,“I wanted that tension: warmth wrapped in something just a little bit unsteady. It’s the kind of love that makes you feel seen and safe — but also kind of vulnerable.”

The visualizer, shot with longtime collaborator Mark Kohr (Shakira, Green Day), captures that mood across placid Bay Area landscapes — open roads, quiet nature spots, and fleeting moments between stillness and motion. ROHAN adds, “There’s no storyline — just feeling. ‘Precious’ is about whatever bond makes you feel safe enough to ask, ‘Do you love me too?’ even when you already know the answer.”

Wrapped in warmth and the joy of safe, easy love, ROHAN’s “Precious,” unfolds like a smooth summer day.
