First off, where are from? And how’d get into music? What was the moment you’d say you fell in love with it?
I’m from Clarksville Tennessee, right outside of Nashville, and I grew up around music! My dad was an artist, so I was homeschooled for most of my life, traveling on the bus with him. I fell in love with performing in any way from a young age, but around 10 or 11 I really found myself obsessed with writing. After performing on stage the first time in church, I knew it was what I was made for.
Who were some of your biggest music influences growing up?
I feel so lucky to have grown up with such strong pop music like Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Miley Cyrus , Taylor Swift, and on and on. I think I was the most influenced by Miley and I honestly still am. She doesn’t need anything but a mic and that’s enough for her music and soul to be heard.
Who are some of your favorite artists currently?
I’m really loving Lorde, Raye, Amelia Moore, and Miley Cyrus will forever be my queen.
For a fairly new artist, your sound is already really refined and confident. What would you attribute that to?
I’ve been writing since I could use a pen, and released my first song at 13, so I’ve been at it for a little while now. I think my obsession with the art itself has led to me finding my lane so quickly. Being able to write for other genres and artists as well makes it feel like I’m never trapped in one sound.
2025 seems to be a good year for you, all your releases have done really well, particularly “Castle”.
Honestly, from the moment I heard the demo back I knew it was something special, but it wasn’t until the first time I sang it live that I realized it was going to make a mark for me. Seeing everyone’s reactions and feeling like time had stopped for just a moment, it was so special and it still is every time.
You also just dropped “Shapeshifter”, can you tell us about that one too?
This song was so cathartic to create, because I didn’t know how I truly felt until it poured into these lyrics. It’s very honest, authentic, and specific, which makes it one of my favorites I’ve made. It’s sort of about grieving someone who isn’t dead, but the version of them you knew is. A strange feeling, but one we all feel, so this song really encapsulates that.
What can we expect from ‘Roses’?
I think you can expect artistry and honesty. I didn’t hold back on any of these songs and I think they’re concepts that have been begging to be a song for a while. You’ll laugh, be shocked, cry, be at peace, and everything in between. This EP is for the people learning that there is only one you, and you deserve all the flowers life can offer, solely for being you.
We say you have to be fearless to be a creative and put yourself out there, do you agree?
I absolutely agree. Every emotion is common, but telling the whole world which ones you’re feeling and why is what songwriting is. It’s terrifying and terrific. I always say it’s worth whatever judgement I might receive, if just to make one person realize they’re not crazy in what they feel.
What’s your goals for the near future?
I have big dreams and big goals for sure. I’m currently on tour and I want to tour again already. I’m still writing like a workaholic, and I’m really focusing on getting to know my fans, where they are in life, and creating a safe space on my pages and in my music. I want to continue what I’m doing and hopefully just begin to reach more and more people.
