Back in November 2024, Songs of a Lost World, a completely new album by The Cure, caused quite a stir. The band took to the stage, playing two shorter shows for the BBC and then a full-on concert at London’s 3000-capacity Troxy, where they performed the new album in full and then two more hours of songs from the rest of their catalog.
The Troxy show was streamed live on YouTube, and it has now been recut, remixed and remastered as an official concert film, The Show of a Lost World, that will be in theaters worldwide on December 11 and available on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download later that month.
The newly cut concert film will include all 31 songs from the Troxy concert and features a Dolby Atmos immersive sound mix. Tickets for the theatrical screenings go on sale on November 30 and more info is here.
The Cure haven’t played a concert since the Troxy gig, but they’ll be back in action in 2026 with shows starting in June. They’ve also confirmed that they recorded a new album.
