Los Angeles–based guitarist and producer Myrone, hailed as the king of soft shred, makes his long-awaited return with “Violet,” his first new single in three years. The track is accompanied by an epic kidnap/heist-themed music video.
“Violet” captures Myrone’s signature fusion of virtuosic guitar work and lush, melodic textures, a sound that has won him devoted fans worldwide. The cinematic new video embraces a playful crime-caper aesthetic, placing Myrone’s music against a backdrop of high-stakes mischief and stylish chaos – a bold visual counterpart to his triumphant return.
Myrone has carved a unique space in modern guitar music. In addition to releasing over 10 albums and EPs of his own work, he has collaborated with SZA, Little Boots, Rivers Cuomo, and Atarashi Gakko, and contributed guitar to a range of film and TV projects, including the Emmy-nominated score for Netflix’s Cobra Kai. Beyond his solo work, he plays guitar in the international metal band Firstborne, alongside Chris Adler and Girish Pradhan.
For fans of Jeff Beck, Masayoshi Takanaka, and Casiopea, Myrone’s soft shred sound offers a refreshing sonic experience that bridges guitar mastery with groove-driven production.
