“King of Bedroom Pop” Verzache Ushers in New Era With “Sinking”

Toronto songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Verzache has shared new single “Sinking” – a moody, soul-searching track that signals the beginning of a bold new chapter for one of music’s most quietly influential voices.

Dubbed the king of bedroom pop, Zach Farache – aka Verzache – has spent the past several years shaping the sound of a generation. From early SoundCloud success to co-writing and producing with Mac Miller and Young Thug, nearly selling out a U.S. tour, and racking up nearly 1 billion global streams, Verzache has arrived at a coming of age in his 27th year.

“Sinking” isn’t just a return; it’s a signal. Fans have long been craving new music from Verzache, and this summer promises to deliver more of the lush, emotional worldbuilding that made him a pioneer in the DIY era of SoundCloud and beyond.

“’Sinking’ is pretty much talking about the guilt of failing someone you care about – while barely holding your shit together,” he shares. “Spiraling deeper, knowing you’re the one who caused the damage, even if you’re still stuck in it.”

First making waves with his 2018 viral hit “Needs,” Verzache carved a lane for hyper-personal, genre-blending bedroom pop before it became a trend. Now, with “Sinking,” he doesn’t just revisit that foundation – he expands it. And it’s only the beginning. Expect more new music this summer, as Verzache re-emerges with sharpened clarity and a sound that hits even deeper.
