Indie Rockers Pleasure Pill Release Spellbinding New Single “Don’t Fly Away”

One of the most addictive indie rock bands to step onto the scene in recent years, Pleasure Pill showcase timeless Britpop with indie rock swagger on their new single “Don’t Fly Away.” It channels the spirit of adolescent wanderlust fueled by jangly guitar chords, entrancing melodies, and introspective lyrics.

Their forthcoming debut studio album Hang a Star is set for release on June 27 via à La Carte Records.

Of the track, frontman Jonah Paz says, “For my generation of people who have been starved of genuine musical and cultural moments. The folktale of hearing Nirvana for the first time or seeing The Beatles on Ed Sullivan can now be paralleled with the world hearing this song for the first time.”

“Don’t Fly Away” follows the release of other standout singles such as the hypnotic anthem “My Way To You,” and the crisp, timeless track “Line Up The Stars, which is Pleasure Pill’s take on club meets rock and roll. Each of these dopamine-inducing tunes can be found on Hang A Star, the new record that is destined to launch the San Diego band to the stars.

Pleasure Pill picks up where Brit-pop left off, but this time with better haircuts, and sound designed to entangle you from the very first note. Following in the footsteps of Britpop brother bands of the ‘90s, lead singer Jonah Paz and brother Ethan (rhythm guitar) formed the band in mid-2021 with friends they grew up with in San Diego’s underground scene. Together, they overcame their sibling rivalries and dreamed of big success and world domination, in between skating, going to DIY punk gigs, and putting on shows in their community centers. Within a few years, the band has already captured the attention of tastemakers and media.
