Horror Rockabilly Champs The Cramps Reissue their Early Albums on Vinyl

The Halloween season doesn’t really end with October 31, and the long-running champs of horror rockabilly The Cramps have reissued their first three albums from the ’80s (all originally on I.R.S. Records) on vinyl. The albums in question are Songs The Lord Taught Us (1980), Psychedelic Jungle (1981) and Bad Music For Bad People (1984).

These pressings include brand new Standard Black Vinyl LP versions of Songs The Lord Taught Us, Psychedelic Jungle and Bad Music For Bad People.

Alternatively, uDiscover Music also exclusively features limited-edition pressings of Bad Music For Bad People on a Glow-In-The-Dark LP and Psychedelic Jungle on a Fluorescent Green LP — each with a special art print.

All three albums are hailed by the long-time fans of the band. The initial album produced by rock legend Alex Chilton plays like a long-lost late ’50s and ’60s rock rockabilly mixtape. On Psychedelic Jungle, the band started introducing more original songs, even though their version of horror rockabilly classic “Goo Goo Muck” is considered as iconic. At the same time, Bad Music For Bad People turned out to be the favorite of hardcore fans.
