NYC based band Leap Year are proud to present their new single “Bridges“, a track about making life count amidst struggles with addiction and tension, making it an impactful listen. Containing traces of hip-hop, alternative rock, and even grunge, the new song by Leap Year proves that the band are unconcerned with staying in one lane.
Anchored by sparse shimmering guitars and hard-hitting drums layered over deep 808s, the new track is self-described by the band as “if Nirvana was produced by the Neptunes.”
Leap Year are the latest genre-bending sonic phenomena to hail out of New York City. Officially founded in 2024, Leap Year was less a band coming together than a voice emerging. Aiming to invigorate those who come across their haunting melodies, the trio marks their return with their second single, “Bridges”.
Originally known as producers for hip-hop artist Pastor Troy, Leap Year are reinventing their image with bombastic alt-rock tracks in the vein of greats such as Linkin Park, Nirvana, and Twenty One Pilots.
