Genre-Bending Artist Sebu Releases Expansive Debut Album ‘Many Faces’

Sebu proudly releases his debut solo album Many Faces, via Stereotrain. A cohesive collection of curated singles, covers, and collabs, the new album is available now on most streaming platforms.

Over the span of fourteen tracks, Sebu’s Many Faces takes you on a rollercoaster ride that meshes together various waves of indie pop, italian disco, hip hop, and alt rock. Consisting of edgy sounds, moody melodies, and contemplative wordplay, the album features contributions from trip-hop producer Bei Ru and Italian EDM impresario THCSRS, making it a captivating, yet unpredictable listen. A striking cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” can also be found, with Sebu’s 1889 Steinway letting out one final breath before unfortunately succumbing to the Altadena fire earlier this year. In addition, a synth-heavy cover of Porno for Pyros’ “Pets” is also evident on the album, re-envisioning the track with a more upbeat gleam.

Throughout the album, old friends of Sebu come out as collaborators, including the joyous jazz-funk dance track “Dear Friends”, which features Capital Cities trumpeter Spencer Ludwig. Other highlights on the album include the melancholic “The Worst That Could Happen to Us”, featuring the aforementioned Steinway lamenting over Eraserfase’s glitch-tech beat.
