Dominican Punk outfit Kröna Return with Explosive New Single “The Weasel Strut”

Rising Caribbean punk rock trio Kröna return with their explosive new single, “The Weasel Strut.” The track serves as the band’s latest statement of intent ahead of their much-anticipated debut album, Dead Air Diaries, arriving November 22, 2025, via their own imprint, Merenpón Records.

A sharp critique of rigid thinking and cultural stagnation, “The Weasel Strut” is as confrontational as it is infectious.

“This song critiques narrow-mindedness and stubborn adherence to outdated beliefs. It challenges the listener to break free from rigid thinking and to reconsider their perspectives. The lyrics depict the frustration with those who refuse to evolve and continue to make the same mistakes. It emphasizes the need for open-mindedness and growth in understanding the world,” the band shares.

Following the release of “The Weasel Strut,” Kröna will drop “Chasing Shadows”—the final single from Dead Air Diaries—on November 5, coinciding with the launch of their fall tour. The run of shows spans the Southeast and East Coast, culminating in a hometown record release show in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on December 20.

Formed in April 2024, Kröna is a dynamic punk-rock trio that fuses hardcore urgency and reggae grooves with a distinctive Caribbean flair. Originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and now based in Miami, Florida, the group is comprised of Cristóbal (vocals/guitar), JP (bass/vocals), and powerhouse drummer Chino (also of Zeta).
