Minneapolis band she’s green are excited to share their new EP Chrysalis, available everywhere via Photo Finish Records. Their first project in over 2 years, the five songs perfectly capture their ethereal brand of dream pop, merging wistful vocals with fuzzed-out, harmonic guitars. Arriving with the EP is the official music video for “Little Birds,” which features the band in a serene nature scene as the song builds up to an emotional catharsis.
“We shot the Little Birds video outside the city in rural Wisconsin,” explain she’s green. “We set up instruments in a forest clearing and had a great team to help us get it done. We wanted to really cap off the EP with a performance like this and just have some fun with it.”
Last month’s single “Willow” offers a glimpse into the band’s soundscape of fluttering dreams, exploring their decaying perspective on nature, accompanied by a stunning music video. “‘Willow’ reflects on our dying relationship with the natural world—a relationship that’s not always loving, but formative nonetheless,” she’s green explains.
This year, the band also shared “Figurines” and “Graze,” their first offerings since 2023’s debut EP, Wisteria, which received recognition from all corners of the internet, especially on Reddit. Songs like “Mandy” and “Syndulla” quickly became fan favorites for their otherworldly sound, thoughtful production and emotionally intense lyrics.
she’s green show no signs of slowing down. The band has had a jam-packed 2025; after opening for Frank Black at The Current’s 20th-anniversary show earlier this year, they joined Phoenix shoegaze band Glixen and LA trip hop group After on the road. Playing across the country and making first-time appearances at San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival and Seattle’s Freakout Weekender, a tour supporting Softcult followed. This fall, they’ll support heavy hitters Slow Pulp, Blondshell, Drop Nineteens and Softcult across the U.S. and UK.
