British pop riser Bettina BCB has shared her new single “Messy Girl“, blending elements of electronic, R&B, and pop to create a sound reminiscent of early 2000s Timbaland-era pop, with a fresh, modern twist.
She shares, “The single is my clapback to the gossip mill. I got so used to people talking and hearing crazy rumors about myself that I figured, ok bet, I can be all of that if you want me to, but it’s not gonna end well for you if I do. This song is a challenge to everyone who thinks they know me better than I do, and can’t keep my name out of their mouths. I also really wanted to make something danceable and urgent for those absolutely unapologetically feral nights at the end of summer, when you know it’s about to end so you just go full send on the chaos and the messiness.”
Mentored by the iconic Stargate in Los Angeles, her project also has the support of A&R Chris Anokute.
