Alt-Pop/Rock Star AViVA Returns with Infectious New Single “Sinister”

Australian pop star AViVA returns with “Sinister“, the second radio single from her anticipated new album, due this fall. After commanding stages at Rock am Ring, Graspop Metal Meeting, and a packed European headline tour, she now sets her sights on the UK with upcoming performances at Reading and Leeds Festival, further solidifying her rise as one of alt-pop rock’s most electrifying forces.

Through this new creative chapter, AViVA builds her own immersive cyberpunk-inspired universe, both sonically and visually. Her work explores the duality of identity in the digital age, examining the tension between the curated self we project online and the raw, unfiltered version that exists offline. These themes pulse through every track, including “Sinister”, offering listeners a mirror to question how we define and defend our sense of self in a hyperconnected world.

AViVA explains: “‘Sinister’ is my favorite song on the album. It’s about the walls we put up to protect ourselves from the dark people that drift into our lives. But so often when we do, we shut ourselves down – it can be hard to soften our heart again”.

AViVA is an artist unafraid of baring all in her music. AViVA and her unique alt pop-rock emo sound has created a growing groundswell online, building a strong community of fans- her ‘Outsiders’. She continues to explore the themes of control and isolation.

AViVA describes her songs as being about the “Outsider experience” something clearly expressed in both her lyrics and the sonic palate of her catalogue. Since her debut single ‘GRRRLS’ in late 2017 her distinct sound and message has garnered the support of tastemakers. AViVA has toured with the likes of Yungblud, Poppy, Pale waves, Enter Shikari and played on numerous festivals including Mad Cool (Spain) Splendour in the grass (AUS) Riot (USA).
