Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the iconic Wednesday Addams. The new season is set to premiere in two parts: Part 1 on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 on September 3, 2025.
The teaser showcases Wednesday’s return to Nevermore Academy, hinting at deeper family secrets and darker adventures. Accompanied by her loyal companion Thing, Wednesday navigates complex relationships and confronts new supernatural challenges. The Addams family, including Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Gomez (Luis Guzmán), Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), and Grandmama (Joanna Lumley), play more prominent roles this season.
Season 2 introduces several new characters portrayed by notable actors such as Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd, Frances O’Connor, and Haley Joel Osment. The storyline delves deeper into the Addams family’s backstory, with Morticia warning that “secrets can have deadly consequences.”
Directed and produced in part by Tim Burton, the series continues to blend gothic horror with dark comedy. Jenna Ortega teased that the upcoming season is “very graphic” and praised Burton’s creative vision, stating, “Tim really had a ball.”
