‘The Threesome’ Trailer Unveils a Chaotic Rom-Com Fueled by Double Surprise

The first official trailer for Regretting You, the heartfelt adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, has just dropped—giving audiences a raw and emotional preview of grief, family, and redemption. Directed by Josh Boone, the film hits theaters in late October 2025.

The trailer introduces Morgan Grant (Allison Williams) and her teenage daughter Clara (McKenna Grace), whose lives are shattered following a devastating accident that claims the lives of Morgan’s husband and Clara’s father. As hidden betrayals come to light, the trailer captures the raw unraveling of grief, the complexities of mother-daughter bonds, and the tentative hope found in new relationships—particularly Clara’s romantic connection with her longtime crush, Miller (Mason Thames).

The script was adapted by Susan McMartin from Hoover’s 2019 novel and Josh Boone, known for The Fault in Our Stars, directed.

Cast: Allison Williams as Morgan Grant, McKenna Grace as Clara Grant, Dave Franco as Jonah, Mason Thames as Miller.

Scott Eastwood, Willa Fitzgerald, and Clancy Brown appear in supporting roles.

With its poignant themes of loss and healing, Regretting You promises to be one of fall 2025’s most emotionally stirring dramas. Featuring a standout cast and narrative rooted in powerful familial bonds, the film is poised to resonate with both Hoover fans and newcomers alike.
